It is a piece carved in 2 different rocks: -The head is carved in amethyst quartz for its strong spiritual representation and the antagonistic duality that represents its color. - Beneath the head of the eagle is adorned by 2 delicate feathers carved in jadeite-green-blue Olmec jadeite. Jade in prehispanic culture is associated with eternity and immortality. Quiero compartir con ustedes mi primera obra tallada en jade jadeíta y mi experiencia con el material a la hora de trabajarlo. En cuanto al proceso de talla me fascinó el material, no solo a la vista sino también al tacto, es la roca más noble que yo jamás haya tallado, la suavidad con la que trabajan las herramientas de diamante deslizándose sobre la roca es una experiencia muy satisfactoria. ¡En pocas palabras me enamore de la roca jeje! Mi primera obra está inspirada en el pez piraña de vientre rojo, no es una reproducción a escala como tal sino una versión personal basada en sus proporciones. Aprendí a no menospreciar un pequeño trozo de jade ya que con un poco de atención, paciencia y caricias adecuadas una pequeña astilla cobra forma e identidad. Es una pieza tallada en jade-jadeíta “azul olmeca” (jadeíta Guatemalteca). La pieza mide 4cm de punta a punta. La pieza tallada mide 1.6cm de longitud. Los ojos están incrustados con oro de 18k.
